Recently got a Fabia vRS. Was wondering about this haldex clutch?
Just wondered how it works compared to a normal clutch? do they cost a lot if the are nakered etc..plus at the 70k service it needs looking at?

Cheers

l own a Skoda Fabia but l have no idea about the clutch. Try asking on/searching the skoda forum site:

The Haldex clutch is a part of the 4wd system on 4wd versions of transverse-engined cars with transverse engines from the VW Group (e.g. Golf 4Motion, Octavia 4x4, Audi A3 quattro). It is additional to the standard clutch.

The Fabia vRS is front-wheel-drive, so does not have the Haldex clutch.

The Haldex unit forms part of the 4WD on the car.At 70k miles, l will suggest you check and top up the haldex oil if neccessary. The haldex unit normally requires relatively less maintenance, less attention.Cost relatively more than a normal clutch set. l hope this helps.

Sorry but cannot answer your question directly.

Go to briskoda.com register with the site (it is well worth it)
and then ask the question. Someone will be able to answer your question on there.
