well u need your thermastat ok put it back in check your radiator it may need to be replaced or flushed out and if your car is automatic check your transmission fluid if it is low or the fluid is old and will need to be replaced with new oil also if that dosent do it your torque converter is broken so u will need to replace it or get it rebuilt asap otherwise ur gonna do alot of damage to your gearbox get it early ok

Is your vehicle fuel injected? Removing the thermostat will make it run bad. Check to make sure your fan is coming on. l would run it by a radiator shop and see if the radiator is restricted. It may need a new engine but check basics first. No use spending a lot of money for no reason. What kind of vehicle is it? Maybe l can give you better ideas and how to check it your self. Have a great day.

Save your antifreeze and summer coolant, wait your engine
is cool enough to work on it ,burns are no fun to have,
thermastat is good you do not have to take it out. Once your
water pump is replaced make your radiator is full.Drain your
water first before you do any work, and wait until the engine
again is cool, check our oil too, you may be need of a oil change too. plugs too have to be replace and wires too,
with that your car should run smooth.

You need to put another thermostat in ur car.
A thermostat is a component, that serves for keeping a temperature within a range, that acceptable for operation. With a liquid cooling, the temperature is controlled by a thermostat.

Before reaching the operational temperature, the thermostat is closed, so that the water only passes the engine & the cooling water pump.

When the thermostat opens at about 185°F (85°C), the radiator is added to the cooling loop & the actual cooling function starts.

Sounds like u ur cylinder heads r gasket is the problem if everything else checked out good.

Here is something u should look into a forum for talking with people who own, Skoda Cars.
