what happened to the cake car after the advert
i found this the next bit in skodas faqs section
after watching the full vide clip l found this article in their faqs section.

Once filming was complete, we would have liked to offer the Fabia cake to local charities, schools and hospitals. Unfortunately as the car had been under studio lights for several days, it may have posed a health and safety risk if eaten and we were therefore unable to do this.

Some goodies from the car were preserved and vacuum packed such as the marzipan wing-mirrors, chocolate speedometer, wafer engine fan and the Fabia badge icing, and will be held as mementos of the production.

It was decided that as we were unable to donate the cake to charity, the cake was instead recycled. It was taken away and composted, so that it could return to the natural environment. The cake was taken to a place called the East London Community Recycling Project in Clapton. The project has been set up to provide local residents and members with quality compost for use on their gardens or allotments.

They cut it up and sent it to local orphanages. It was very nice of them, l saw it in the depths of the news paper.

It took over a week to make, the majority of it was going off when they finished. Sadly it was dumped.

Yes, it was thrown away. What a waste!

But it was too old once it was finished.

Unfortunately, due to the heat of the studio lights, it was not fit for eating.
Instead it was composted.
